Got creator’s block? Choose from these ideas to get your next way of content 🥇

Okay, you’ve taken the plunge into online business and you’re pumped for it (maybe even a bit nervous or scared – totally normal by the way)...

You also know you need to publish daily, but you’re starting to get the feeling that you’re about to hit a creative wall where you don’t know what to publish about.

Sound familiar?

I’m about to share 17 ideas that will help you get the creative juices flowing.

But First, A Quick Story…

My first failed attempt at publishing on my own channel didn't last long.

At the time, my least favorite thing was trying to come up with new ideas, or follow content ideas that other creators had posted...

...only to feel unoriginal (especially when I was called out).

I couldn't help it! It was kinda like my brain was playing hide-and-seek, and all my ideas decided to hide!

I really wanted my posts to be new and fresh, even funny TikToks. But every time I tried, it felt a bit like trying to bake cookies without chocolate chips – just not as fun.

Worry started creeping in. What if my followers didn't like it anymore? What if they scrolled past my posts? What if nothing happens and I don't make any money with this?

The fear of not being interesting enough bugged me like a mosquito at a picnic.

Sound familiar? If your content ideas hide or worry bugs you, remember – it's okay to be messy and make mistakes.

Especially if you're starting out, there's very little you can do to affect the algorithm negatively regarding you and your content.

So use this time to try new things, have fun, and your creativity will wake up and join the party! 🚀

But just to help you get over the hump... here's something that might help.

17 Ideas For Creative Content

Stuck for topics? Here are just a handful of ideas to help spark your creativity so you can keep publishing daily!

  • Motivational Quotes: Share your favorite inspirational quotes and how they motivate you to take action. Make sure it’s something meaningful to you AND your audience.

Ex) Tony Robbins' "Stay hungry, stay foolish.", or Oprah's “You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.”
  • Wins and Losses: Celebrate your accomplishments and things you’ve learned in the process. What worked and what didn’t? Not only do people want to see wins, but they long to see the setbacks too.

Ex) Hitting 1k social media subscribers. Struggling with negative feedback. Your dog peed on your laptop, frying the circuit board.
  • Share Life Lessons: Share stories from your day to day life. Not only does it give people insight into your life and make you more real to them, but it will endear them to you. Plus it’s a fun way to pull out lessons from everywhere.

Ex: Learning patience in business. Realizing money doesn’t define success.
  • Give Recommendations: Easy enough for a “Skip To Profit Business”, think about and share the products, tools, and services you love. You don’t have to make money on them either. Just share it as a way of being helpful to your audience.

Ex: Favorite podcasts like Smart Passive Income. Using QuickBooks for accounting.
  • Share Helpful Hacks: Share anything you’ve found that has helped you save time and money. Chances are your audience will love you for it because that’s what they want too.

Ex: Software you use to post videos everywhere with one click. Recording videos in batches so you don’t film everyday. Cooking healthy meals twice a week instead of daily.
  • Borrow Authority: You don’t need to be the only go to expert. Instead, you can borrow the authority by simply sharing ideas from other experts that resonate with your audience.

Ex: Marie Forleo’s thoughts on confidence. Tony Robbins’ productivity tips.
  • Take A Poll: Instead of always giving content, ask for it. Instead of creating what you want to create, include your audience in the process. They will feel a sense of pride and ownership with you.

Ex: Facebook Live or Clubhouse this week? Which video should I make first?
  • Share Your Personal Life: Give fans a peek behind the curtain into your life. Show them what you’re up to and what you’re excited for or dreading.

Ex: Awkward dating stories. Parenting woes.
  • Post Entertaining Memes: If an image or clip makes you laugh, chances are it’ll make your audience laugh too. Do a reaction or remix video to share something that struck you or gave you joy.

Ex: Work from home struggles. Entrepreneurs hustling. Gym culture laughs.
  • Share A Story: Similar to what’s happening in your personal life, there’s likely a bunch of stories that led you to where you are now. Share those stories along with insights of what present day you sees in them.

Ex: Hilarious customer call. Pivotal business moment.
  • Ask For Feedback: What do your fans want more or less of? Instead of smashing your head against the wall trying to figure out that mystery, ask them. They likely want to ask questions anyway. You can also respond to questions that they’re asking other creators. Search their videos and look for questions. Also, as you create, ask for their feedback so they can get in on the creative process with you.

Ex: Which type of video do you find most helpful? What business questions do you want answered? Which logo do you like better? What new bonus would you like included?
  • Share What You’re Learning: Most people feel like impostors because they feel they need to learn and test before they share. The opposite is true. When you learn something, share it right away. You’ll find that as you learn to share with someone else, you’ll actually learn the concepts faster than if you tried to learn it and keep it to yourself. And what’s awesome is you don’t even need to teach it. Just share. You don’t need to be the professional.

Ex: Learning Facebook ads. How to lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks. How to create an LLC.
  • Give Behind The Scenes: Your audience is curious about what your day looks like and what projects you’re working on. Give them a sneak peak, when they can expect it, and where they can get early access. It’s also a great way to get ready for launch day.

Ex: Filming videos. Editing videos. Looking for next products to buy. Designing a new offer and training program.
  • Reveal Business Ideas: Strategize out loud as you are making your plans to conquer the world. Map them out and share them with your audience. As you talk about the things that are coming, you’re also building pressure so that your launch becomes massive because people are so excited about what you are sharing.

Ex: Membership site model. Physical product line concepts. New bonuses for a course or partner training program.
  • Talk Favorite Tools/Books: What books, trainings, courses, resources, or tools do you swear by? You likely used them to solve a problem… a problem that you alone are not facing. Chances are good you can help someone else by sharing what worked for you. And by the way, you don’t have to be limited to the self-help genre. You can break out to fiction you love too!

Ex: Canva for creating graphics. Expert Secrets book by Russell Brunson.
  • Open Up About Challenges: Being authentic and vulnerable builds trust. While most think they can’t show any weakness, sometimes the most liberating thing to say is “I don’t know. I don’t have all the answers yet.” Share what you’re working through. These first few blogs of mine, I’m getting pretty open about struggles I face. But I also share things I’m learning with my plan to push past them. Perfect learn and share moment!

Ex: Imposter syndrome creeping in. Struggling with time management.
  • Discuss Self-Doubts: We all battle insecurities. Whatever you’re feeling right now, chances are really high that your audience can resonate. Share what’s going on (maybe even blend this with asking for feedback).

Ex: Fears around financial stability. Anxiety about future unknowns.
